On May 18, we gathered with our clients, partners and other stakeholders of the Slovenian electricity sector at an event on the topic of cyber and information security in the energy sector.
At the beginning of the event participants were greeted by M.Sc. Jože Knavs, director of Informatika d.o.o. He presented the vision of Informatika in the field of providing cyber security services. He was followed by the director of the field of information and cyber security in Informatika d.o.o., who presented the operations of the companies Security Operations Center and the future of its operations. Together with the representatives of the Slovenian electricity distribution companies, we touched upon the existing threats and challenges and the needs of all involved to ensure the highest level of cyber security in the electricity sector in Slovenia.
At the second part of the event, Dr. Uroš Svete, Director of the Information Security Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, greeted all the gathered and emphasized the importance of critical infrastructure security. He was followed by Informatika’s partners who presented their solutions and services with which power companies can raise the level of information and cyber security, not only in the field of ICT but also in the field of operational networks.
We believe that the event was interesting for all participants and contributed to better communication between energy companies in Slovenia, and that it will become a traditional meeting place for everyone taking care of information and energy security in this sector.
